In the `Direct Exchange' you can swap skills or items with other members. If a you want someone to do your garden, you could teach that person how to play the piano or give you advice about cooking. The `Direct Exchange' is a skills swap, but some people will want to charge for their time or items they want to sell.
If you want to participate in the `Direct Exchange' fill up the 'Application Form' giving your `offers' or `requests'. The offers refer to members who are offering their time, skill, or items. The `offers' or `requests' information from the online form is put into monthly online newsletter. When you see an `offers' or `requests' that you want, you contact the person and negotiate with him or her.
If you are interested in joining, please ask for a 'Application Form'. Membership is for individuals who live & work in the London area. Membership is free.
If you want to move to a another area; and someone from that area would like to have an exchange. Then it may be possible for both parties to agree to exchange places.
It might be easier for people in a similar situation to do an exchange; i.e.:
If a member of O/N member was also a member of a Housing Coop, he/she could exchange places with another member of O/N member, who is also in a Coop. Providing both Housing Coop's management committees agree. This information is put into our newsletter. It is up to individuals concerned to contact each other to finalise the arrangement.

If you want to take part in the Home Exchange, please fill in the 'Application Form'. This only applies to members who live in the London area. Members can also place a ad in the newsletter to share a flat/house or let a room.
Have you been overcharged by a Plumber or a Builder. Maybe a particular job was done in a sub-standard way.
The Recommendation Network will have a list of people who have been recommended by members.
If a member know of anyone that could go onto the list, he/she give the name, phone number, and address of the person that they are recommending, and the information is put into the newsletter.
